Despite the difficulties posed by the pandemic, the Alliance Française Monaco has been able to organise a number of cultural activities:
Lecture on “70 years of Paris-Match”, Christian Brincourt (15 January 2020, Yacht Club de Monaco) in partnership with the P.E.N. Club of Monaco and Monaco Press Club;
Lecture on “An Enthusiast’s Guide to Diplomacy”, Daniel Jouanneau (4 February 2020, Monaco’s Vocational and Catering School), in partnership with the P.E.N. Club of Monaco and Monaco Press Club;
Creation of an annual screening event in partnership with the Audiovisual Institute of Monaco on the theme “From the page to the screen”. This screening is part of the Cinema Tuesdays series. The first event was held on 19 January 2021 at the Variety Theatre (screening of La Douleur (Memoir of War), an adaptation of the novel by Marguerite Duras directed by Emmanuel Finkiel and released in 2017, with the director in attendance). A second event was organised on 18 January 2022 (screening of Jean Renoir’s Partie de Campagne at the Variety Theatre).
